CS2 were instructed to undertake the full measurement of works for the construction of five new student accommodation blocks to provide 281 bedrooms with ancillary facilities and external works. This involved the production of Bills of Quantities for each elemental package for the five individual accommodation blocks. The scope of works also incorporated the measure of substantial demolition and remedial works to existing buildings in order to accommodate the new works. The client utilised the Bills of Quantities produced by CS2 in order to accurately cost the proposed works, submit a compliant bid submission for competitive tender and negotiate a successful contract sum with the client. This project represents just one of a number of similar student accommodation schemes that CS2 have measured for tender purposes.
