Central London refurbishment 50 Farringdon Road, London Positive outcomes
• Development of design and specification of an undesirable office space to create a modern and marketable property
• CS2 cost saving of £250,000 against ING Real Estate’s original budget of £2.5 million
• CS2 worked with consultants and ING to develop solutions to reduce carbon emissions by 50%
ING Real Estate required reinstatement, repair, and refurbishment works of a 35,000ft² office building in order to facilitate a letting on a full repairing and insuring lease. As part of the refurbishment, ING Real Estate wanted to achieve a 50% carbon reduction.
CS2 Solution CS2 project managed the reinstatement, repairs, and refurbishment of the office on behalf of ING Real Estate; providing them with a feasibility report, budget cost programme, and a detailed specification of the works to be carried out. As part of the project, CS2 upgraded the mechanical and electrical installations within the property to achieve the desired carbon reduction of 50%. Also, to improve the aesthetics of the building a feature entrance and reception were created. Services provided
