Project Management

Working together the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor will ensure excellent cost control and accurate budgeting. The importance of providing an in-house quantity surveying service within the project management suite ensures that CS2 clients always receive cost advice throughout all the key stages and that budgets are controlled effectively.

The central role of our project management solution is to: -

• Develop and understand the ethos, aims and objectives of the client and develop synergies within its vision statement.
• Develop a comprehensive client brief that embodies imaginative, appropriate and viable proposals whilst at the same time benchmarking likely financial constraints that may require flexibility in design and an ability to phase development. A successful relationship will be where the design team does not seek to stamp their own design ideals at the expense of form, flexibility, programme and cost.
• Facilitate appropriate decision-making by clearly identifying key issues within the development framework and working closely in partnership with the client throughout the procurement and development processes to completion and beyond to the expiry of the defects rectification period.
• Ensure the project is delivered within programme and an established budget.
